2019 Finding Solutions Through Science, Scholars & Survivors Research Luncheon

“The event was beautiful, educational and most of all uplifting. Reflecting on the stories from the survivors reminded me of what my mom went through. I’m so glad that I was able to be a part of the event to support and share the energy of this life-saving work.” – Dalia, 2019 luncheon attendee

Your BOLD ACTION helped to raise over $100,000 in support of our BOLD GOAL to reduce breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. Thanks for helping make our 6th Annual Finding Solutions Research Series a true success.

About the Event

Finding Solutions Through Science, Scholars, and Survivors is a luncheon that highlights the impact of Susan G. Komen’s

National Research Program on local breast cancer research. This unique event brings together an audience of researchers, scientific thinkers, corporate and private philanthropists, survivors, thrivers, co-survivors, and individuals impacted by the disease to learn more about how their donations are being used in local and national laboratories to find the cures.

Last year’s luncheon was held on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education in Chapel Hill, NC. The program featured keynote speaker and Komen Scholar Dr. Ann Partridge of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at Harvard University, along with Komen Scientific Advisory Board member Dr. Lisa Carey of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Komen Career Catalyst Zachary Hartman, Ph.D. of Duke Cancer Institute, and local breast cancer survivor, Mia Sutton.  Click here for Media Advisory.
