BHI Club Pink Cocktail Party, Fashion Show & Silent Auction
Bald Head Island Club
Thursday, July 25, 2019 | 5:30p.m – 7:30p.m.
Bald Head Island is a place for families to visit and recharge, refresh, relax, and remember the important things in life. It is also the full-time home to some who know the serenity and healing powers of our island. What better place than here to gather together to tackle a disease that affects so many?
Why breast cancer?
Every 60 seconds, someone in the world dies from breast cancer. Every year, more than 1,400 women will lose their lives to breast cancer right here in North Carolina.
BHI Goes Pink celebrates and salutes the incredible strength and courage of the women who have struggled and continue to struggle with this disease. Although our home is a small island, together we can achieve a big mission –- that each of us has a lifetime to achieve our dreams. Thank you for your help in making a difference in the fight against breast cancer.

He also serves as Co-Director of the Women’s Cancer Program within the Duke Cancer Institute. The insights from his work at Duke have led to the discovery and development of novel estrogen and androgen receptor modulators, some of which have advanced to the clinic and are being evaluated as treatments for breast and prostate cancers and a variety of endocrinopathies. Dr. McDonnell has received numerous investigator awards; the most notable being the Roy E. Greep, Weitzman, and Ernst Oppenheimer Awards from the Endocrine Society and the Robert Ruffolo lifetime achievement award in pharmacology.
