Since it was founded in 1997, Komen NCTC has invested more than $14 million in local breast health agencies and organizations while contributing $4,978,461 to Komen’s national research grants program. This year alone our affiliate gave $179,800 to Komen’s national research grants program and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina Central University in collaboration with Duke University received nearly $3 Million in research funding to find the cures.
Komen NCTC grants 75 percent of net funds to community programs in our service area that have made a positive difference in the lives of those living with this deadly disease.
The remaining 25 percent of net funds are invested in the Susan G. Komen National Grant Program. To learn more about Komen’s research investment, click here.
