A Message To Our Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast Community

Our top concern at Susan G. Komen® NC Triangle to the Coast is to ensure we have the plans and resources in place to safeguard the well-being of our Komen family. As an organization dedicated to saving lives, nothing is more important.

In light of the recent progression of COVID-19, and the CDC guidance to postpone mass gatherings, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule our 2020 Komen Triangle Race for the Cure planned for May 2, to Saturday, September 12, at the Research Triangle Park. The weeks ahead will be stressful. Many breast cancer survivors, patients actively in treatment, and those living with metastatic disease are choosing to self-quarantine at this time. We encourage you to reach out and check in on loved ones to ensure they are receiving the support they need. Remember to take care of yourself, too!

During this critical period, the Komen Breast Care Helpline is available. The helpline provides free, professional support services to anyone with breast cancer questions or concerns, including men diagnosed with breast cancer and their families. For support or assistance, please call 1-877 GO KOMEN (1-877-465-6636) or email helpline@komen.org.

As we continue to monitor our rapidly changing environment, we will make the best choices we can for our services and programs. To learn of any changes, please look to our website and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) for updates.

Thank you for your patience and continued support as we respond to this evolving situation together. Moving forward, we will remain vigilant and mindful of those we serve and hold steadfast in our commitment to save lives.

We hope you and your loved ones remain healthy and safe during these uncertain times.
